DFID and SCPwD launch E-learning session on “Delivering Effective Online Learning”

DFID-India and Skill Council for Persons with Disability (SCPwD) have launched an E-learning session on “Delivering Effective Online Learning”. The session is designed by the National Star College, UK as a webinar to promote remote inclusive teaching as part of DFID’s Skills for Job programme.

This specialist module is designed to help trainers, teachers and support personnel during this challenging time of the pandemic, to develop skills for delivering training remotely to trainees with disability and those with additional learning support needs. This module explores the barriers to learning faced by trainees and gives strategies to overcome those when planning the learning remotely using an on-line platform. The training uses a range of engaging learning materials, videos, and case studies.

The session can be accessed by over 35,000 trainers empanelled with Skill Council for Persons with Disability (SCPwD) and National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) as well as the training fraternity beyond. The session will provide a good starting point for professionals in understanding disability and establishing simple cost-effective ways of delivering engaging learning online.
