Kundli : Department for International Development (DFID) collaborated with UKIERI to organize ‘First of its kind’ Training of Trainers delivered by an international trainer from sector skill council from another country. This first of its kind initiative was organized at National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management (
Ms Sally Worsley-Speck, UK Food Processing Sector Skill Council (NSFAD) delivered the capacity building training of Lead Assessor and Training of Trainers for FICSI (Food processing sector skill council).
The major focus of the training was to equip the lead assessors and trainers about Moderation of various qualifications, designing, delivering and managing industry-specific tailor made programs, conducting training needs analysis, developing comprehensive training manuals and materials for use by inexperienced trainers and developing and implementing effective training plans in accordance with budgetary constraints.
All participants felt privileged after attending this training and were thankful to the authorities for organizing this program to aware them about training methods adopted by professionals abroad.
Dr Ajit Kumar, IAS (Rtd). & Vice Chancellor, NIFTEM was invited as present as a Chief Guest during valedictory function organized on 10th Feb’2017.
Sharing his thoughts on the occasion he insisted on skill development of MSME sector and farmers at their doorsteps and expressed his interest in having MOU with Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) for various awareness cum training program as apex nodal centre, NIFTEM with all the facilities. He also suggested to upgrade ITI imparting food sector related training in the country.
Ms Anu Gupta Head Skills & Inclusion Inclusive Growth & Investment team from DFID , Ms Mallika Verma, CEO- FICSI, Mr Praveen Manikpuri from FICCI, Mr Manish Mishra from Ministry of Skill Development along with Ms Sally Worsley-Speck lead trainer from UK has shared their vision and experience. Ms Kaustubhi and Mr Atishai, DFID-TA team at FICCI Skills Departments facilitated the whole training program. Dr Ankur Ojha, Assistant Prof., NIFTEM extended Vote of Thanks to the delegates present during the session.
