APSSDC signed MoU with Electronics Sector Skills Council of India for implementation of placement-linked skill development programmes

Vijayawada: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) and Electronics Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI) for implementation of placement-linked skill development training programmes for unemployed youth of Andhra Pradesh.

The MoU was signed by G Subramanyam (Executive Director) in APSSDC Office along with K Sandeep, general manager (Operations) and K Arun Kumar Reddy, regional manager south on Wednesday.

The objective of this MoU was to improve employability and entrepreneurship skills of the beneficiaries participating in skill development schemes introduced by the State Government.

The various courses offered will be aligned to Qualification Packs-National Occupational Standards (QP-NOS) approved by the Union Government.

APSSDC and ESSCI joined hands towards imparting guidance, coordination and implementation of placement-linked skill development schemes, assessments and certification of training. The move was excepted to harmonise the skill development efforts of the Government and the private sector for the State.
