CGSSC signed MoU with APSSDC at Global Investors Summit 2023 for Skilling Activities

The state of Andhra Pradesh is renowned for its excellent infrastructure, large manufacturing base, talented youth, and business-friendly environment. To showcase these strengths of the state, engage with the global investor community, and find mutually beneficial opportunities, the Government of Andhra Pradesh conducted a “Global Investors Summit 2023” at Visakhapatnam on the 3rd and 4th of March 2023.

The opening day of the two-day first Global Investors Summit organized by the State Government attracted investments to the tune of ₹13 lakh crore involving 340 proposals, at Visakhapatnam on Friday. Delivering the inaugural address, the Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy said that the investments would generate about six lakh employment opportunities in Andhra Pradesh, across 20 sectors.

On the first day of the summit, a total of 92 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed amounting to ₹11,87,756 crore, to generate 3.92 lakh jobs in the State.

At Visakhapatnam, Capital Goods & Strategic Skill Council (CGSSC) Signed an MoU with Andhra State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) for skilling activities under Capital Goods sector and Maritime sector.  175 Skill hubs, 26 skill colleges under Skill Development Sector of Andhra Pradesh shall be formed. These centers will offer employability-oriented career programs in all sectors including Capital Goods sector and Maritime sector.
