International conglomerate GE came forward for innovation led skill development, will open GE-Sahrdaya CoE

Thrissur (Kerala) : GE, the international conglomerate in the medico-technological field, and Sahrdaya College of Engineering and Technology, Kodakara, are joining hands in skill development and research in biotechnology. This venture is based on an MoU signed between GE and Sahrdaya.

Gene editing, gene silencing and protein purification are the modern technologies used by biotechnology for developing new medicines. The training and research in these areas will be conducted in GE-Sahrdaya Centre of Excellence for Bioengineering Techniques.

“This is the first time GE is collaborating with an engineering college in the country and above all it is first of its kind innovation led skill development venture which will support the Prime Minister’s Skill India Program,” according to college authorities.
