National Academy of Construction inks MoU with STAMP and UK based NOCN to drive construction skills development towards international standards

Hyderabad : To improve the standards of skill development in construction segment, Hyderabad-based National Academy of Construction (NAC) signed a Tri-partite agreement with Skill Training Assessment Management Partners Ltd (STAMP), New Delhi and UK-based NOCN, here on Friday.

The MoU was signed by NAC Director General K Bikshapathi, NOCN Managing Director Graham Hastings Evans and STAMP CEO Ravi Raman in the presence of Telangana Minister and NAC Chairman Thummala Nageswara Rao.

Under the agreement, NAC, STAMP and NOCN would work together in skills development, needed to continuously improve India’s construction industry as well as to drive up skills towards international standards.

As per the MoU, the parties also agreed to work for establishing of Centre of Excellence for construction and related skills at NAC ; training and certificating to international standards ; developing new courses to improve the quality of training and consultancy support from NOCN for developing the ‘Big projects’ model with employers and the state government besides upgrading of facilities to match international standards at NAC.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister appreciated all the three organizations for the wonderful initiative to collaborate for improving the standards of skill development training in construction trades thus enhancing the quality of infrastructure of Telangana state.
