PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) and Guru Nanak Dev University signed pact for skill development

Amritsar : The Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU) and PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) have inked an MoU to boost entrepreneurship and skill development in the state.

The MoU was signed by GNDU Vice Chancellor Dr Jaspal Singh Sandhu and Anil Khaitan, president, PHDCCI.

Dr Preet Mohinder Singh Bedi, coordinator, University Industry Linkage programme, GNDU, said both parties agreed to work on common interests to push forward India’s growth story. They have agreed for cooperation in industrial research and consultancy, industrial testing, joints patents, sponsored industrial research projects, research guidance from industry and university and conducting joint research activities on crucial scientific and economic areas.

Prof Sandhu said, “A major development objective for the state is to strengthen its human resources, especially the youth by making them skilled and employable.”

Anil Khaitan said a technology and innovation support centre network would be set up to provide high quality technology information and related services.
