SKF India has signed an MoU with Automotive Skill Development Council (ASDC) for the accreditation of SKF India’s YES centres. ASDC is the sector Skill Council of India which works tirelessly on developing and upgrading automotive skills leading to more economic activity and consequent additional jobs. YES- Youth Empowerment at SKF is a flagship corporate social responsibility program by SKF India which was initiated in 2015 with a view to create a positive change in the life of communities.
Marking its presence in cities like Pune, Bengaluru, Jorhat, Haridwar and soon at Ahmadabad, followed by an investment of 120 million per centre in Machines, equipment’s Vehicles tools, cut models and computers, YES is a programme for vocational skill development of the underprivileged youth to empower them through improved skills and knowledge and help them gain access to employment or enable them to start their own venture.
The MoU was handed over by Manish Bhatnagar MD, SKF India and Arindam Lahiri, CEO, ASDC at YES centre Bengaluru during the convocation ceremony of 71 students of various YES Batches.

The beneficiaries undergo six months of rigorous and on job training in the automotive two wheeler and four wheeler that help in increasing their employability in OEM services and multibrand garages.
