SkillReporter to support State Skill Development Missions in North-East, signed MoU with Meghalaya State Skills Development Society

New Delhi : With a vision to catalyze the skill development initiatives in Meghalaya, Asian Development Bank (ADB) facilitated collaboration between SkillReporter and Meghalaya State Skills Development Society.

In order to formalize the collaboration, a Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between Shri Donald Phillips Wahlang,  IAS, Principal Secretary, Meghalaya State Skill Development Mission (MSSDS) and Mr. Ravinder Chanana, Principal Consultant, TeamServe Network and Mentor to SkillReporter on December 18th at Meghalaya House, New Delhi.

Speaking about the MoU signing, Shri Wahlang expected that the collaboration will help the mission officers and associates to empower rural people of Meghalaya through project Supporting Human Capital Development In Meghalaya (SHCDM) by providing them an effective medium for outreach resulting into capacity building of the stake holders concerned, which supports with the vision of MSSDS.

Mr. Chanana shared that Skill Reporter has been forged to support professionals associated with technical, vocational education and training by keeping them updated with continual developments across the world and spread a word about their contributions.

This collaboration will enhance the outreach of the initiatives of the MSSDS, spread awareness among the youth and improve peer learning among the officers and professionals engaged in skill development related initiatives in Meghalaya, he added.

He assured all possible support from SkillReporter team to publish and share Press Releases, Tenders, Circulars, Notifications, RFPs, EOIs, RFQs, Events and other important informational updates on their leading news portal as well as digital social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Google+ etc.

Noticing the keen interest of  Shri Wahlang and Mr. Biswal about entrepreneurship initiatives for youth, Mr. Chanana shared details of his various low cost startup ventures and assured his support in mentoring youth and development of low entry cost entrepreneurship models to improve the state ranking in number of start-ups.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Anupam Biswal, Implementation Specialist, Asian Development Bank told that the association will help the better implementation of skill development initiatives in the state and help to showcase the ongoing developments in the state to the whole world.
