Zoho partners with National Skill Training Institute to offer coding course

Chennai : Business applications provider has signed a memorandum of understanding with the National Skill Training Institute, a body under the Ministry Of Skill Development And Entrepreneurship (MSDE) to offer a course on coding. Through the MoU, NSTI will offer a course in Zoho Creator, a low-code programming platform.

The company said in a statement that anyone with knowledge of basic programming concepts could enrol for the course called ‘Create and Operate Business Apps,’ which will be taught by Zoho Creator’s training partner, ITK Education Services.

The 6-day long course will be split into two parts—36 hours will be dedicated to training the students on how to use Zoho Creator for building applications and 12 hours to soft skills training.

To provide students with a better learning experience, California and Chennai- headquartered, Zoho has also set up a Centre of Excellence, a classroom facility with all the required infrastructure on the institute’s campus.

“We are providing students with an opportunity to learn how to create applications for process automation, a major requirement for any business in the age of digital transformation. With Zoho Creator, students can easily translate a business need to an app quickly without facing programming complexities,” Hyther Nizam, vice-president, Product Management at Zoho, said.

“This course helps the learners effectively create mobile and web business apps using cloud computing. This is a joint certification programme and students will benefit from the globally-recognised certification,” H V Samvatsar, ISDS, Director, NSTI-MSDE, said.

NSTI expects that students will be able improve their chances at employment or start their own business by developing and publishing apps built on Zoho Creator.
