Modi appreciates BHEL’s support to Skill India initiative, awarded 1.79 Crore cheque

As a mark of appreciation for Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL)’s active participation to support Skill India mission and engaging a large number of apprentices across the country under the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS), acknowledging the organization’s contribution to the Skill India initiative, Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, presented a cheque amounting Rs1.79 Crore to Atul Sobti, CMD, BHEL, at the Kaushal Mahotsava in Kanpur.

The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship invited the heads of top organizations imparting trade apprenticeship training to receive cheques from the Prime Minister as a partial reimbursement of the stipend paid and as a token of appreciation for their excellent work in this area.
