New Delhi : Food Industry Capacity & Skill Initiative (FICSI)—widely known as Food Processing Sector Skill Council—is a Not-for-Profit Organization, under aegis of National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and promoted by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).Aiming at generating a critical mass of industry-employable-skilled-persons to meet the skill gap in the Food Processing industry, FICSI inter-alia is mandated to:
• Development of a sector skill development plan and maintain skill inventory.
• Determining skills/competency standards and qualifications and getting them aligned with NSQF.
• Standardization of affiliation, accreditation, examination and certification process in accordance with NSQF as determined by NSQC. May also conduct skill-based assessment and certification for QP /NOS aligned training programs.
• Participation in the setting up of affiliation, accreditation, examination and certification norms for their respective sectors.
• Plan and facilitate the execution of Training of Trainers along with NSDC and States.
• Promotion of academies of excellence
In order to ensure that the snacks and sweets prepared by Halwais and baked products prepared in Bakeries in Uttar Pradesh is safe, FICSI aims to empanel training providers who can carry out upskilling of Halwais and Bakeries under the RPL plus bridge course training model as per FICSI curriculum on food safety.
Eligibility Criteria
Following types of organizations would be eligible to submit their proposals under this EoI – Training Companies/Halwais/Bakeries Associations for conducting RPL plus bridge course skilling program as per FICSI
curriculum. The training would be conducted as per RPL camp-based model
Scope of Work
Identification of Halwais and Bakeries in the targeted cities. FICSI plans to train a total of 6000 numbers with 1000 numbers in each of these 6 cities
a. Ghaziabad
b. Lucknow
c. Kanpur
d. Allahabad
e. Agra
f. Varanasi
2. Mobilization, counseling and registration of eligible candidates Awareness creation in the cities in which the VTP has been empaneled
3. Course and curriculum Training should be imparted only in NSQF aligned courses as per FICSI curriculum. The duration of the entire training would be 12 hrs.
4. VTP to provide the course content and training kit to all the trainees. The cost of content and training kit will be borne by VTP
5. Identification of venue for conducting the training program in the targeted cities
6. Running the training programmes as per NSQF norms and guidelines
Submission of proposals
Interested agencies fulfilling eligibility conditions as mentioned above can submit their detailed proposal for empanelment of Vocational Training Provider (VTP) to the CEO, FICSI at the below mentioned address on or before 31st May 2019 to :
