The State of Gujarat has around 144 Islands across its coastline. These islands need to be developed socially, economically and with Environment protection. They provide unique marine ecosystems and also present immense opportunities for tourism development.
Government of Gujarat vide resolution of Home Department No: B-5/CSS/1020/GOI10 (Part-1) dated 21st August, 2019 has formed an Island Development Authority under the chairmanship of Hon’ble Chief Minister of the State. The Government of Gujarat through GIDB appointed a Program Management Consultant (PMC) to carry out the identification and mapping of islands and explore the development potential of islands in the State of Gujarat.
Concept Plan and proposed shelf of projects prepared for Pirotan island (Jamnagar), Shiyal bet (Amreli) and Bet Dwarka (Devbhumi Dwarka) were presented at the 3rd meeting of Island Development Authority held under the chairmanship of Hon’ble Chief Minister on 30th June 2020. It was further decided by Authority to designate ITI Dwarka as Marine Skill Training Centre of Gujarat for conducting marine as well as Island supporting courses in order to enable local population to benefit from the expected generation of employment opportunities. The broad areas of marine skill training will be related to Island Tourism, Nature Education, Adventure water sports and the like.
With the objective of skilling the young workforce of Gujarat and elevating their skills to global standards for employment in India and abroad, the Government of Gujarat intends to set up a marine Skill Training Centre for facilitating and coordinating various skill development initiatives of the state.
Therefore, Government of Gujarat through GIDB is looking forward for Selection of Consultant for conducting Skill Demand Assessment and Detail Project Report for Marine Skill Training Centre at ITI Dwarka.

The Authority invites bids/proposals from interested firms (the “Bids” or “Proposals”) for selection of an Agency (the “Consultant”) who shall undertake detailed Market Demand Assessment, Detailed feasibility Study, Detailed Project Report, Financial projections, determining costs, identification of courses for setting up courses for Marine Skill Training Centre at ITI campus Dwarka in the State of Gujarat (collectively the “Consultancy Assignment”).
