Gangatok : The MHRD, Government of India brought out a revised Centrally Sponsored Scheme for Vocationalization of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education(CSS for VSHSE) to integrate employability education into School Education. This scheme is implemented with the funds sanctioned and approved by the MHRD, GOI to RMSA, HRDD, GoS.
The scheme is operated with in the National Skill Qualification Framework, which establishes a system of clear educational pathways from school to higher education while providing certification of vocational skills.
The contract shall include to provide educational services i.e providing vocational trainers, supply of course material, supply of required software, publicity, maintenance of labs and equipments, providing hand on skills to students enrolled in all trades (OJT, Industry visits) and setup of laboratories, supply of equipment etc. for new approved schools as directed by RMSA, HRDD, GoS.
NSQF shall be implemented in Secondary and Senior Secondary schools of the state from classes 9th to 12th. The program will be offered as optional subjects in classes 9th and 10th and main elective subjects in class 11th and 12th to the Students.
RMSA, Government of Sikkim through its RFP Tender No. 340/GOS/HRDD/VOC/2018 is keen to outsource the entire project on turnkey basis in schools by inviting Request for Proposal for following sector wise school count for continuation of implementation of vocational education in the 246 schools already offering vocational education.
In the event the scheme is introduced in the new schools other than those mentioned above as per the approval of MHRD, GoI, The same shall also form part of this contract.
The assessment and certification of students enrolled in vocational education under NSQF guidelines has to be carried out in consultation with RMSA, HRDD, GoS, CBSE, NSDC and respective SSC.
The teacher handbooks, student curriculum and courseware for the selected courses are to be supplied as per the content developed by CBSE / PSSCIVE, Bhopal
