New Delhi: Taking into account the COVID-19 situation and the lockdown norms still in place, Department of Training and Technical Education (DTTE), Delhi, the department has decided to cancel Delhi CET 2020 for the admissions of Engineering and Non Engineering Delhi Polytechnic Diploma programmes in Institutes of Technology – IOT (formally known as polytechnics) .
Application Process after cancellation of entrance exam Delhi CET 2020
The DTTE has decided to make the Delhi CET 2020 application process completely online. Therefore, the website is running a notification saying that, before candidates start the filing of online application, they are required to get all their documents scanned for uploading. Candidates, who are seeking admission to engineering diploma courses in Polytechnics based in Delhi, can complete the registration and application process by extended date 17th September via official website.
Typically, the admission process to Delhi Polytechnic Diploma institutes is offered on the basis of an entrance exam i.e. Delhi CET 2020. The Delhi Common Entrance Test used to be held to screen candidates for admission to polytechnic diploma programmes. However, this year, owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, the department has decided to cancel the exam and instead follow merit based admission system for the students. How to Register for Delhi Diploma Admissions 2020 online?
To ensure that candidates do not need to step outside the safety of their homes to apply for Delhi Diploma Admissions 2020, the Department of Training and Technical Education (DTTE), Delhi has made the complete application process online. The application form has been made available in English language only. Candidates who are not familiar with the online application process can follow the steps provided below to complete the application process:

Step 2: Register yourself on the portal by providing basic details
Step 3: Log onto the portal using your credentials
Step 4: Complete the application form provided on the website
Step 5: Upload supporting documents
Step 6: Pay the requisite application fee of Rs 200
Step 7: Verify all the details and submit them online
Step 8: Download confirmation and take printout of the same for future reference
