Pune : The Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) has announced a three-week skill development course in digital video editing under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY), NSDC, MSDE.
Scope of the Course :
The traditional linear editing in Film and Television has been time consuming and expensive process. The alternative is that Digital Video Editing which is currently practised world wide is comparatively very fast technique. On completion of the course, the participant can develop various edited versions of Film or Video programme and select the best one to create more than one from one amongst them. Moreover the digital system have become extremely and simple. An editor can effectively use the art and aesthetics of editing by understanding the Digital set-up, its operation and its procedures.
The course aims at basic understanding of the Digital Video Editing set-up, its operations, concepts and principles and professional practices. This course is useful for understanding the theory and practice of digital editing. Individuals already working or who wish to work in the industry (Television channels / Production Houses) are encouraged to join the course.
