Symbiosis Skills & Professional University launches future-ready skills training supported by J.P. Morgan

Pune / Mumbai: Symbiosis Open Education Society (SOES), a non-profit educational trust focused on education and skills development, is pleased to announce its collaboration with J.P. Morgan to train 1,000 disadvantaged youth from Tier 2 and 3 colleges across Maharashtra through Symbiosis Skills and Professional University Pune.

The project will be implemented on Symbiosis Skills and Professional University, Pune campus and will offer courses designed to provide relevant skills to students who aspire for careers in technology by meeting the evolving needs of employers across multiple sectors. Courses will include data science, machine learning, automation, blockchain technologies, and augmented and virtual reality.

Symbiosis Skills and Professional University will work with industry experts, employers and academia to design short-term courses and train students through its unique skill-based teaching at its state of the art campus located on Pune-Mumbai Expressway, Kiwale. Students will be trained through the university’s unique teaching learning pedagogy with an emphasis on developing skills. These courses have been aligned with jobs available in the market. Students will also be provided placement assistance to pursue employment opportunities immediately after successfully completing the courses.

In this regard, Dr. Swati Mujumdar, Pro-Chancellor of the university informed, “This is a great opportunity for students as courses offered have been carefully mapped considering the current market situation and post Covid period. The university is committed to developing these hi-tech skills in students in order to make them employable and empowered.  The courses will be delivered free of cost to students and in full time manner on the university campus.”
