Nagpur: The Adani Power Maharashtra Limited (APML) has set up a skill development centre in Tiroda in Gondia district.
The Adani Skill Development Centre’s (ASDC) augmented reality (AR) simulator tool will be commissioned on April 15. It is expected to benefit 500 students every year from the region.
The ASDC will also provide students a four-week on field training where they will closely work with the company’s expert workmen. The first batch of students will begin training from April 15, 2017. Post-completion they will be given a nationally recognized certificate.
The augmented reality simulator is an interactive learning tool which can guide students to perfect their skills in shielded metal arc welding, gas metal arc welding and gas tungsten arc welding processes. The simulator is used by international welding training institutes.
The ASDC, in its Pan India skill development operations, aims to provide various skills to 3 lakh candidates by 2022 for which the group has signed a MoU with National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC).
