Haryana Government to start dual system of training, collaborated with Maruti Suzuki to give push to skill development mission

Chandigarh : In a bid to provide push to the skill development mission, Haryana Government on Wednesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Maruti Suzuki India for dual system of training for Government Industrial Training institutes (ITI) at Rohtak and Gurugram.

Speaking on the occasion, Skill Development and Industrial Training Minister, Vipul Goel on Wednesday said that Haryana Vishwakarma Skill University (HVSU) will introduce Doctoral Degrees in Skills to provide further vertical mobility in selected areas of skill sets besides providing Post Graduate diploma in skill or vocational, Post Graduate Degree-Master of Skills or Master Vocation.

Goel said that HVSU, as a strategy, will pursue the dual vocational education model where the selected students will be offered to pursue their higher education in an integrated work and study model. The entire work study will be designed in line with the requirements of the National Skill Qualification Framework.
