NTPC launches Skill Training Program 2024-25 for Women under CSR

Faridabad: NTPC Faridabad launched the “Skill Development Training Session 2024-25” to empower the women through skill development under its CSR policy. The training session was inaugurated by Mrs. Rashmita Jha, Chief Vigilance Officer, and Mrs. Shobha Pattamiraman, Executive Director (Vigilance). This training program is being conducted in collaboration with Shri Vishwakarma Skill University (SVSU), Palwal. 120 trainees will be trained in sewing operations, beautician skills, and computer applications at the NTPC Faridabad – Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Navpath Skill Development Center.

The Chief Vigilance Officer and Executive Director (Vigilance) appreciated the training programs and said it would benefit women from nearby villages by providing them with livelihoods. The Project Head (Faridabad & Badarpur), Mr. Atul Kamlakar Desai, stated that NTPC Faridabad has consistently worked to assist women in building their skills and becoming financially independent. This training program will benefit women from surrounding villages by providing them with livelihood opportunities and helping them become self-sufficient entrepreneurs.

Mrs. Jyoti Rana, Registrar of SVSU, praised the efforts of NTPC Faridabad and SVSU and expressed confidence that they will work together to uplift the women around the Faridabad plant.

The event was attended by the General Manager (USAG Faridabad) and heads of all departments from NTPC Faridabad, along with the Chairperson of Sukriti Mahila Sangh, Mrs. Urjaswala Desai, and Vice Chairperson Mrs. Pooja Garg.
