Training Session: Assistive Technology to Support Inclusive Practices

Agenda:
Department for International Development (DFID) UK, in collaboration with Skill Council for Persons with Disability (SCPwD) is organizing a series of Training on Assistive Technology to Support Inclusive Practices.
Objective:
The focus of these trainings will be on orientation and sensitization of Trainers on disabilities and the assistive technologies for enhanced quality of training.
Topics to be covered:
The training covers intellectual, physical, sensory and specific learning disabilities along with specific technologies supporting learners in their living, learning or work. These trainings will impart trainers, the skills to assess the needs of learners with different disabilities, make informed judgments about the use and support of general assistive technology. They will be able to support the learners on the selection and usage of suitable tools in overcoming their difficulties. The trainings are designed as a 2 days programme covering various disabilities and support practices.
Who should attend?
These 2 day trainings are intended for trainers delivering trainings for persons with disability.
Speakers:
The workshops will be conducted by National Star Foundation, a UK charitable foundation that delivers specialist residential education to young people with disabilities and specialist teacher education, disability awareness and health and social care training nationally and internationally.
