Position: Assistant General Manager (NSDC Project)
Location: New Delhi
Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
Educational Qualification: Post graduate in Social Science /MBA/Social work from a recognized University.
Experience: Good understanding of integrated aspects of NSDC’s Skill Development and Employability related work particularly related to SDMS process management and SSC certification.
Skills required:
— Good communication and communication skills in both English and Hindi languages
— Good networking skills and be able to meet stakeholders esp. the Govt and be able to forge partnerships and alliances.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- To plan, implement and coordinate achievement of HiH India skilling and employability targets.
- To ensure process driven achievement of NSDC goals of i) establishing training centers ii) mobilization and registration of trainees iii) sourcing practitioner handbooks iv) identification and selection of trainers and v) organizing ToTs.
- To ensure achievement of NSDC’s employability including self-employability targets by providing livelihoods support loans and ensuring its timely repayment.
- To operate NSDC’s SDMS portal
- To guide, supervise and monitor the work of Regional Trainers of the 4 North India NSDC States and support them in planning, strategizing and target achievement of NSDC Project goals.
- To undertake regular field visits to the NSDC Project States to review and monitor progress and performances of NSDC skill training operations.
- To work closely with the Regional Mangers of the NSDC Project Sates for ensuring timely progress and achievement of NSDC goals of skilling, providing livelihoods support loan and ensuring employability including self –employability.
- Ensure timely documentation and submission of MIS and reports to the Head office including documentation of case studies, monthly and quarterly progress reports.
- To liaison with NSDC and SSC officials (of the 5 targeted sectors) for ensuring smooth and timely project implementation
- To link with stakeholders esp. in the Govt and corporates at the States and the Centre for linkages.
Remuneration: INR 8-10 lakh per annum, depending upon the skills and qualifications of the candidate.

In order to promote skilling and employability in India, Hand in Hand, India is partnering with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India, to skill train 50,000 trainees across 5 States over 10 years, starting from September, 2017. The states include Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Rajasthan and Bihar where women and youth will be imparted skill training across 19 trades in 5 sectors of Agriculture, Apparel, Handicraft & Handloom, Beauty & Wellness, and Electronics.
