1 lakh students to get vocational skills training under Prime Minister’s Youth Training Program in Pakistan

Islamabad : One hundred thousand youth will be provided vocational and technical training under the Prime Minister`s Youth Training Program during the current year.

This was stated by Executive Director National, Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) Zulfiqar Ahmad Cheema at a news briefing in Islamabad.

He said the number of youth getting training has been increased from twenty five thousand per year to one hundred thousand.

The Executive Director said as CPEC has generated job opportunities and we are focusing on demand oriented skills to be to cater to the demands of industry and modern infrastructure.

He said technical training institutes will be established in Gilgit, Mansehra, Quetta and other areas with collaboration of China, Turkey, Korea, Germany, Japan and Australia.

The Executive Director said national skills development competitions have been organized to encourage the youth. Youth will participate in the international vocational skills held under the auspices of World Skills- a galaxy of seventy seven countries of which Pakistan has also become a member.
