In order to promote skill development within internet of things (IoT) and artificial intelligence (AI) tech on the Norwegian startup scene telecoms company Telenor has announced two important projects.
“We need to build critical competencies within artificial intelligence and we want to give Norwegian startups the resources they need to succeed. This is imperative for our ability to seize digital opportunities and contribute to creating new jobs,” Sigve Brekke, President and CEO of Telenor Group, said in a statement, reports Arctic Startup.
Firstly, Telenor will contribute with a special lab for AI and Big Data research at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, in Trondheim, integrating advanced analysis techniques with IoT Analytics.
Additionally, Telenor will setup an Internet of Things network several in Norwegian cities, reports Telecompaper. Students and startups will enjoy free access to this network.
