Putrajaya : Skill development is a key issue for Bangladesh to achieve its visions and increase foreign currency earnings, the chairman of National Skills Development Authority, Prime Minister’s Office, said on Monday. Faruque Hossain made the remarks at Putrajaya in Malaysia.
World Skills Asia General Assembly adopted the new member Bangladesh on Monday, held in Kuala Lumpur, according to a message received here. Philippines and Brunei have been made new members of WSA.
Hossain said that Bangladesh’s WSA membership will stimulate skills in the context of global revolutionary reforms in restructuring skills development.
Abu Dhabi-based WSA has 15 members, including the new three countries. Official delegates and technical delegates of the member countries attended the General Assembly.

Technical and Vocational Education and Training system in Malaysia, skill training on electrical installation, automobile technology and coming WSA competition in 2020 were discussed in the assembly.
During the visit, Hossain visited world-class TVET training institution and discussed issues on mutual cooperation on trainers’ development.
