Bhubaneswar: The BJP led Central Government will reinforce skill development programmes in Odisha, Union Skill Development Minister Rajiv Pratap Rudy said on Saturday.
Speaking to media persons at BJP headquarters here in presence of party’s state unit chief Basant Panda, Rudy said Centre is aware of the unemployment scenario in Odisha and it will be taking initiatives so that youths do not remain unemployed.
Congratulating the state BJP unit chief and party workers for good performance in the Panchayat polls, the union minister said he hopes that the party will do better in coming days.
“People of Odisha have started to decide that they would choose BJP in the upcoming 2019 general elections. I think people are starting to believe that they would walk hand in hand with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, party chief Amit Shah.
“The indications are clear that people of Odisha are ready to go for party at the Centre as an alternative to local ruling parties,” Rudy added.
With BJP deciding to hold its two-day national executive meeting in the state capital from April 15, Rudy said it will be a great occasion to celebrate party’s recent success in Assembly polls of four different states Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa, Manipur. Besides Prime Minister Modi will also be thanksgiving to Odisha people for their unprecedented support to the party in the recent Panchayat polls.
