New Delhi : In continuation of this Directorate of letter of even no. dated 26th February, 2019 regarding removal of the system of supernumerary, through this notification No. MSDE-19/02/2018-CD, it is to inform that the unit size of trade(s) has been enhanced from 12 to 16, 16 to 20 and 20 to 24 and practice of supernumerary is done away with for all trades for admission w.e.f. session August 2019 onward.
It has also been decided to keep provision of 10% EWS quota for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) in admission of ITIs & NSTIs w.e.f. from Aug 2019 session in addition to existing SC/ST/OBC/Ex Serviceman / PWD as per respective State Government reservation policies. This 10% quota is restricted within enhanced unit size only.
Accordingly it is requested to take necessary action from ensuring session i.e. August 2019 onwards.
This issues with the approval of competent authority.
