New Delhi : With the approval of competent authority, Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (SNP Division / Wing II) hereby notifies through Office Memorandum (FNo: I-34016/25/2017-SNP) that Jan Shikshan Sansthan (JSS) component of the Scheme of Support to Voluntary Agencies for Adult Education and Skill Development from M/o Human Resource Development has been transferred to M/o Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE) for its effective implementation. Under the Scheme, the JSSs are empanelled as voluntary organization/NGOs to impart skill development training with the aim and objective of the extant guidelines. The Scheme endowing with detailed provisions regarding financial assistance to empanelled JSSs in the form of grants-in-aid under component of recurring/non-recurring heads including emoluments of the JSS staffs engaged on contract basis by the JSS.
In this regard, it is stated that the said Jan Shikshan Sansthan (JSS) Scheme is under the process of aligning with existing skill ecosystem of MSDE for its early and effective implementation.
In order to promote Skill India Initiatives of the Government of India, all the empanelled JSSs are permitted to use Logo of ‘Skill India’ along with logo of Jan Shikshan Sansthan (JSS) subject to ‘The Emblem and Names (Prevention of Improper Use) Act, 1950’. The detailed guidelines for use of ‘Skill India’ logo can be accessed at Ministry’s website www.msde.qov.in under ‘Guidelines’.
