New Delhi: Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship notified a Gazette Notification No. EP/19/2020-Economic and Policy Wing.—In pursuance of the directives under para 4.1.3 and 4.9.6 of the National Policy on Skill Development and Entrepreneurship 2015 and the guidelines framed there under vide Notification dated 9th August 2019 regarding setting up Centre of Excellence either as de-novo or as part of Skill University system, the State Institute for Development of Arts and Crafts (SIDAC), Odisha, a autonomous organization registered under Society Act of 1860, bearing no. 21959/137 of 2004-05 dated 15.10.2004, has been recognized as a Centre of Excellence in the field of Skilling Ecosystem in the country. This recognition shall initially be for a period of five years from the date of issue of this Notification, subject to the following conditions:
(i) SIDAC should try to achieve all the parameters as enlisted in respect of Desirable Criteria in the CoE guidelines;
(ii) SIDAC will submit its Annual Report to MSDE detailing out its activities;
(iii) SIDAC would facilitate periodic site visit by MSDE for monitoring.
