Bengaluru: “Jobs will not fall from the heaven, we have to create new avenues for exploring opportunities”, said Union Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Ananth Kumar Hegde. However he didn’t disclosed details but he told that his ministry is planning to introduce two more new schemes soon.
Replying to felicitations at office of the state unit of BJP, he stressed the need to nurture medicinal plants as part of skill development programme. “Skill India concept” is not just about creation of direct jobs, but to explore new opportunities and job avenues for youth in rural areas and ensure that they remain rooted to their jobs. Jobs will not fall from the heaven, we have to create new avenues for exploring opportunities.
While chairing the first meeting with ministry officials in New Delhi, I told them that I don’t want technological terminology, because common people cannot understand technology. To improve the skills of his or her village based industries, common people need innovative ideas and opportunities, and the skill development industry will provide an platform to the same,” he added.
