New Delhi : National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) organized a workshop to create awareness among organizations interested in participating in Technical Intern Training Program (TITP) and contributing to the Skill India mission and further bolstering relations between India and Japan.
The workshop organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) was attended by senior delegates from Japan International Technical Corporation Organisation (JITCO) and the Embassy of Japan in India.
Skill Development is a priority sector for India and is an important aspect of its bilateral relationship with Japan.
With a view to promote partnership and strengthen mutual interest through cooperation between the two countries – India and Japan, MSDE and the Government of Japan has signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC), laying emphasis on dispatch of skilled technical interns from India to Japan.
Under this programme, trained individuals from India will be sent to Japan for on-the- job training for a specific period, maximum up to 5 years.
