Mumbai : Two very dashing personalities from the world of Cricket and Bollywood – Virat Kohli and Sidharth Malhotra, are on-board with PM Narendra Modi for The Skill India Mission.
Yes, both the stars have become goodwill ambassadors of the social initiative which is run under the guidance of Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Union Minister of State for skill development and entrepreneurship.
Launched by PM Narendra Modi on July 15 last year, Skill India is an initiative by Indian Government to empower the skilled youth of India with the aim to make them more productive and employable at work.
Confirming the news, Rudy told a leading daily, “”The youth of the nation will be motivated to perform in their everyday lives, like these icons Virat Kohli and Sidharth Malhotra, who have earned their places with their talent and respective skills.”
MD and CEO of National Skill Development Corporation, Manish Kumar, was quoted as saying, “The idea of having Virat and Sidharth on board was to reach out to the youth, who consider them their icons.”
