National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET) under Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship through its Notification F. No. 22003/4/2020/NCVET hereby states that
The guidelines for Recognition & Regulation of Awarding Bodies and Assessment Agencies’ were launched, on October 27th 2020 a transition period of maximum one year w.e.f 27th Oct, 2020 was provided to all existing Awarding Bodies & Assessment Agencies empanelled with them. All such bodies were to apply for NCVET recognition within six months i.e by 27th April, 2021.
Various existing Awarding Bodies and Assessment Agencies empanelled with them have requested to extend the date of submission of proposals for seeking NCVET recognition due to widespread of Covid-19 pandemic and subsequent imposition of restriction and lockdown. Considering the unprecedented situation and request received, the competent authority has extended the date of submission of proposals by one week ie till 04th May 2021.

All existing Awarding Bodies & Assessment Agencies are now required to apply before 04/05/2021 so as to enable NCVET to process the applications before expiry of the transition period Delay in submission of proposals may lead to laps of recognition beyond 27 Oct 2021 and the concerned applicant body shall be responsible for the same.
