28 participants to represent India in World Skills Competition in Abu Dhabi

New Delhi : National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) is under the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship that promotes skill development in India. NSDC, through its WorldSkills India initiative, has been leading the countrys participation at WorldSkills International competitions since 2011. The four-day WorldSkills competition is starting from October 15. It is the 44th edition of the Olympics for Skills.

A hair dresser and a trainee welder are among the 28 participants who will represent India in the upcoming world skills competition in Abu Dhabi, NSDC today said.

While Hair dresser from Chennai A Karan has won IndiaSkills competitions, Omkar Virendra Savant (21) is a trainee welder working with the Mahindra Ltd. Manmohan from Haryana is an expert body repair technician who will participate in the event. Similarly, Vibhor is a robotics enthusiast who is currently studying in final year of engineering from the MIT Academy of Engineering in Pune.
