Hyderabad : On Sunday, Union Labour Minister Bandaru Dattatreya inaugurated the Mega Job Mela at Nizam College in Hyderabad. Speaking at the inauguration of a job ‘mela’ (fair) in Hyderabad, he said similar fairs would be conducted across the Telangana soon.
As the centre giving much importance to the Skill development, the State government has also should provide skill development for the youth for the better employment opportunities, he said. He also informed that Centre gave Rs 170 crore for skill development centers in the state. The Union Minister also said that the central government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is taking positive steps to provide jobs to educated unemployed youth in industrial sector especially in industries setup up in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states.
He also said that skilling and employment are among the key thrust areas for the government and “The government would create five crore jobs in the country by 2022”.
“As the Centre is giving importance to skill development, the state government should also provide skill development for the youth for better employment opportunities,” Dattatreya said. Nearly 10,000 people attended the job fair, where around 60 companies participated and offered jobs to 1000 persons in various sectors, stated an official release.
