Beauty & Wellness Sector Skill Council to organize job fair on 28 November in Guwahati

Guwahati : Beauty & Wellness Sector Skill Council is organizing a job fair on the November 28 at the Lily Hotel in Guwahati exclusively for beauty and wellness professionals wherein both experienced and fresher can participate.

This is the first of its kind job fair organized by the council in the region. International cruise liner Indus-Steiner will also participate at the job fair.

More the 15 esteemed employers from beauty and wellness industry, including online portals, will be participating in the job fair.

The list of employers includes VLCC, Lakme, Iosis, Aroma Magic, Urban Clap, Nail Spa, Strands etc. Besides beauty and wellness, employers from media and hospitality industry will also be participating in the job fair.

“There is a huge demand of beauty professionals in the media and hospitality industry and this job fair will give them an opportunity to select the right candidate,” said Annu Wadhwa, CEO at Beauty & Wellness Sector Skill Council.

“The northeast region, being a potentially significant contributor in producing skilled and trained personnel, can bridge the huge demand-supply gap in the beauty and wellness domain.

This recruitment drive can prove to be a remarkable platform to make the right candidate reach the right employers,” she added.

Two banks – Axis Bank and Muthoot Micro Finance – are also a part of the job fair to facilitate financial assistance to candidates who wish to start as an entrepreneur.

“The beauty and wellness sector has huge opportunity for entrepreneurship and this will be the right platform to make the candidates aware of the available opportunities,” Wadhwa added.
