The Department of Vocational Education & Skill Development & Technical Education, Government of Uttar Pradesh (UPVESD&TE) intends to operate newly constructed ITIs and Polytechnics through Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode from 2021-22 academic session across various districts in Uttar Pradesh. The objective of the proposed PPP model is to bring the Private Sector Partners (PSP) onboard to operate and maintain the identified institutes focusing on imparting quality trainings with state-of-the-art infrastructure.
UPVESD&TE plans to provide land & constructed buildings of ITIs and Polytechnics to the selected PSP and facilitate necessary support (affiliation, admissions, etc.) to ensure smooth functioning of the institutes.
PSPs are required to make the necessary investments for procurement and installation of equipment along with required fixtures and furnishings, obtain necessary regulatory approvals (AICTE/NCVT as applicable), hiring of teaching and non-teaching staff as per applicable norms to ensure smooth operation and maintenance of the ITIs and Polytechnics. PSPs will be allowed to operate the institutes in conformity with AICTE/NCVT affiliation norms along with any other permissible academic activities.
Hence, the department intends to invite Expression of Interests from eligible Private Sector Partners for implementation of newly constructed Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and Polytechnics of the Government of Uttar Pradesh through Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode.
Who are Eligible?
The Applicant may be any sole proprietor or other legal entity such as company, societies, trusts, partnership firms etc. registered in India or consortium of such registered entities.
Note: Applicants with no previous technical training/ technical education experience can also apply provided such Applicants have a minimum net worth of having average minimum net worth of INR 11 Cr. during the last 3 (three) financial years and the Applicant has been continuously in operation for the last 5 years.
