Bhopal: In a grand spectacle of engineering prowess and sustainable innovation, the Luminous SIEP E-Bike Challenge 2024 took place from January 24th to 28th, organized by the Imperial Society of Innovative Engineers (ISIEINDIA) and hosted by IES University, with a promised to be a celebration of cutting-edge technology skills and the future of green mobility.
A staggering 38 teams from 16 states across the country have participated and thrown their hats into the competition for the Challenge 2024. This impressive turnout is a testament to the growing interest and enthusiasm surrounding electric vehicle technology.
As the Luminous Power Technologies is a powerful and trustworthy brand with a wide range of innovative products in the power backup, and residential solar space and being the title sponsor for the SIEP E Bike Challenge 2024 with the diverse pool of participants ensures a rich tapestry of ideas, perspectives, and solutions, adding to the vibrancy of the competition. Across the five days of competition, a jury comprising experts from the motorsport, automotive and supplier industries thoroughly evaluated all the teams and their vehicles.
Participants were judged on engineering design skills, overall cost, marketability and dynamic performance. On-track assessments at the IES University tested the real-world performance and durability of the prototypes. These dynamics tests included Acceleration Test, Hill Climb Test, Off Road Test, Self Balancing Test, Vehicle Run on Modes Test, Driverless Parking Test, and more important Durability Test. Total 20 teams qualified the technical inspection and participated in the dynamic rounds achieving ground breaking engineering achievements in the Luminous SIEP E Bike Challenge 2024.
Team Dark From Rajalakshmi Engineering College, Tamil Nadu ace the competition becoming the Overall Champion, Team Infiltrators from Parul University, Gujrat secured 1st Runner Up Place and Team Mechatrons from Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Technology, Tamil Nadu stands at third position in the competition.

Ltd.), Ms. Neha Sharma (Co-Founder and COO, Go Sporty Electric), Mrs. Jaslien Chhatwal (Director and CEO, Jeewan Motors Pvt. Ltd.), Er. Manoj Modi (Managing Director, Nexcity Solutions Pvt. Ltd.), Mr. Ketan Kumar Jangra (Deputy Manager, JBM Group), Mr. Shubham Varshney (Director – Corporate Affairs, ISIEINDIA) and the industry delegates from TATA Motors, Voltme Motors, ABZO Motors, EKA Mobility, etc. and Academicians from 30+ Engineering Institutes joined as delegates for the Flag Off Ceremony and Valedictory Ceremony.
Luminous SIEP E-Bike Challenge lies in the ingenuity displayed by the participating teams. These young engineers are tasked with designing and building electric bike prototypes that not only meet stringent criteria but also push the boundaries of what is currently possible in the field.
