Ranchi:Â With the transfer of Jharkhand Skill Development Mission Society from Higher and Technical Education Department to Labour Planning and Training Department, preparations have been started for similar technical education and skill development. In this regard, a review meeting of the ITI training service providers of the Jharkhand Skill Development Mission Society (JSDMS) identified by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India for the operation of the special skill development centre at the block level was organised on December 2.
The meeting was organised under the chairmanship of Pravin Kumar Toppo, Secretary, Labour Employment Training and Skill Development Department. Neha Arora, Director Training, Sunil Kumar Mission Director cum Chief Executive Officer, Jharkhand Skill Development Mission Society, Bhaia Rajnish Ranjan Deputy Secretary and other senior officials were also present in the meeting.

In the meeting in- depth discussion was conducted on the operation of technical education as per the government syllabus of ITI institutes. Training service providers were directed to ensure quality technical education in service, engineering and manufacturing sector in ITI centres.
JSDMS representatives were informed about the operating procedure of ITI including the registration process, enrollment method as per the State Council for Vocational Training (SCVT).
In the meeting, Toppo spoke about having a revised MoU with the training institutes including the provision of reservation facility and institute management committee among others will also be incorporated.
In the meeting Arora informed the representatives of the selected training providers that the concept of a skill development centre has been prepared keeping in mind the manufacturing and service sector at the village level so that youth in rural areas can get skilled training.
Kumar spoke about the convergence and normalisation with all units of labour planning, training and skill development department and also organizing a similar technical education and skill training programme with the labour department.
