In a bid to strengthen Industry participation and entrepreneurship development in the State, a series of workshops on Flexi MoU, entrepreneurship development and Bank Linkages were conducted by MPCVET for all the TPOs, Principals and Joint Directors of Madhya Pradesh government. A network of TPOs has been developed and strengthened by MPCVET using DFID TA support.
Shri Sanjeev Singh (IAS) – Director, Directorate of Skill Development was of the view that “TPOs will be the first line of government functionaries engaging with the industry and nodal points at District and Division level to facilitate entrepreneurship development. It is essential that the Mission invests in equipping them to work on both of these key department priorities professionally.”
The workshops have focused primarily on orienting the administrative staff (ITI Principals and Joint Directors) on entrepreneurship development and develop the capacities of the TPOs appointed across the state on industry interface and bank linkages. Functional areas such as email etiquettes, resume development, business communications skills, facilitating industry MoU and use of the placement portal were addressed and discussed with the participants of the workshop.
The session in the workshop was also addressed by the Mr. V.K. Jain who is the Head of financial awareness in the State and an SLBC member on Bank Linkage opportunities available for youth. Further different entrepreneurship models were discussed through a session moderated by a faculty member from EDII, Mr. Vinay Verma.
This is in line with the State’s plan to educate, promote and boost entrepreneurship amongst the youth of MP.
