Jaipur : After receiving complaints from employees, skill and employment minister Ashok Chandna has constituted a probe committee to investigate alleged irregularities and anomalies in Rajasthan Skill And Livelihoods Development Corporation (RSLDC), functioning of the corporation and expenditures / payments made in the recent past.
In a major late night development, Prateek Jhajharia was removed as managing director of RSLDC. He would only hold the post as commissioner labour department.
The committee headed by labour secretary and RSLDC chairman Neeraj K Pawan will submit the report to the minister in seven days.
Earlier, the minister had directed that the “chairman of RSLDC (Pawan) will be the final authority for clearance of files till the probe is completed,” diluting certain powers of RSLDC managing director Prateek Jhajharia. It has been decided that all files pertaining to the department must either reach the minister or the chairman of RSLDC for clearance.

Skill, employment and entrepreneurship minister Ashok Chandna said, “I received a few complaints from the staff. Based on those complaints, a committee will be formed under the chairmanship of the secretary for investigation. I have sought the report in seven days.” “There were complaints that employees were removed from their posts in an arbitrary manner . They had also complained that there was no systematic planning in the functioning of RSLDC. Everything will be clear only after the probe. Now, it has been directed that the files will come through the MD, but must reach the secretary (chairman of RSLDC) or the minister for clearance. The chairman of RSLDC will remain the final authority till the probe is completed,” he added.
Pawan said, “The minister has raised certain questions and queries on the functioning of RSLDC. He has directed to inquire into the anomalies and irregularities reported to him through complaints. A committee has been formed with his (minister) directions for investigation.”
