Shri Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship highlighted the importance of skill training for the youth of the country in order to establish India as the Skill Capital of the World at the BJP Headquarters. Interacting with the National and State Heads of the BJYM, he discussed the existing challenge of training a huge unskilled workforce that exists in the country. He reiterated upon the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision to develop workforce in all the essential skills that are required during a person’s life cycle from birth to death.
“Skill Development should have been our focus since independence, however, the Government has realized its importance, and we are now en-route to achieve what should have been done way back.” said the Minister. He also focussed on the immense commitment India has shown towards primary education, and envisaged a similar determination towards Skill India. Giving an example of the import of trained workforce from Peru to India for operating heavy motor vehicles and machinery, Shri Rudy stressed upon the fact that India possess the potential to develop expertise for such job roles and a day should come when our youth would go round the World and would be globally appreciated and recognized as highly skilled professionals. The occasion for the interaction was the launch of Panch Kranti initiative by the BJYM that focuses on five key flagship programmes of the NDA Government including Make in India, Swacch Bharat, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Yoga, and Skill India. The Initiative is an attempt to create awareness about all these programmes launched by the Government so that people at the grassroots are able to obtain its benefits. The BJYM unit would now hold similar programmes at the District and Mandal level, where individuals from all segments of the society would be invited and informed about these programs.
