New Delhi: The Automotive Skills Development Council (ASDC) today launched the first session of digital sales master class with SpeakIn. The program started with the Virtual Lighting of the Lamp by Dr. Manish Kumar, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, NSDC, Nikunj Sanghi, Chairman, ASDC and Arindam Lahiri CEO, ASDC. This program will enable a deep training for auto dealers to upgrade their skills in the fast-paced digital world that are going to signify how the future is going to be.
Dr. Manish Kumar, MD & CEO, NSDC, while inaugurating the program said “We are in the early stages of industry 2.0, and therefore the rate of change will be extremely high at this stage for at least for the next 25-30 years and there will be rapid changes. So, therefore, if you look at the industry, they will keep asking you to upgrade your skills on a continuous basis because they don’t want somebody who has studied something in the 1990s to be leading their organization or them are leading their self-reported 2020s, they need somebody who understands how this world is changing, and are able to cope with that particular world”.
ASDC Chairman Nikunj Sanghi said “Since consumers have started driving the marketing process, it’s up
to businesses including yours to react appropriately. Consumers are actively looking for what they want,
when they want it, by going online and doing a search. It’s a big shift for an industry that has been entirely product-centric, and still is, for as long as cars have been around. We’re moving to a situation where the product, is not the center of everything.”

It’s also about giving people reasons to buy from you or recommend your dealership to their friends and associates”
