New Delhi : Automotive Skills Development Council is registered as a society and has been promoted by the Automotive Industry through industry bodies, SIAM: Society of Automobile Manufacturers, ACMA: Automotive Component Manufacturers Association, FADA: Federation of Automobile Dealers Association, in partnership with the Government of India, Ministry of Heavy Industries & Public Enterprises and the Ministry of Skills Development.
The governing Council has representation from the promoting bodies, as well as from Ministry of Heavy Industries, Ministry of Road Transportation and National Skills Development Corporation . ASDC is continually engaged in developing, upgrading and making skills aspirational, towards value addition to strengthen Skill India & Make in India
Job Role :
a. To continually identify and upgrade relevant job specific Vocational Skills towards better employability and very effectively meeting employer needs / requirements.
b. To effectively integrate Govt. / Employers / Candidates objectives and aspirations.
c. To make Vocational skills aspirational and integrated to regular graduate / postgraduate educational qualifications.
d. To clearly understand the needs and gaps related to:
i. Identification of Current and Future jobs in this dynamic / white water / fast paced business environment.
ii. Assessment of needs and gaps at each stakeholder end (Candidate/ Govt./Employer)
iii. Estimating the resources / processes / support required towards attaining the purpose.
e. To take stock of the current situation with respect to adequacy / integrity / credibility of the resources / processes / support.
f. To identify the priority area based on the need / gap analysis, for developing the way forward actions.
g. To establish Employer / Industry connect as a Top most priority.
h. To possess the right Attitude, Industry knowledge, Economy-Social-Political wisdom to connect with / respond to / balance out Government / Industry expectations and possibilities in a win win manner
