Gurgaon : Beauty and Wellness Sector Skill Council Chairman, Vandana Luthra, who is also founder of the renowned beauty and wellness chain VLCC, was awarded the ‘Haryana Gaurav Samman’ by the Government of Haryana at ‘Pravasi Haryana Divas’. Luthra was awarded for her excellence, innovation and contribution towards the wellness and beauty industry globally.
On receiving the award, Luthra said, “I am humbled and honored to receive this prestigious award. I want to thank the Government of Haryana for recognizing the beauty and wellness industry as a major source of entrepreneurship for women, across the state and the country. I firmly believe that women in Haryana can be empowered only when they are made financially independent. I reaffirm my promise to give back to the society by ensuring that our skill development work is carried into the remotest part of the country. I would like to dedicate this award to the hardworking and dedicated team at VLCC that has contributed to our success story at every juncture.”
Pravasi Haryana Divas was organized as a part of the Golden Jubilee Celebrations by the Government of Haryana and recognized the achievements of non-resident Indians and people of Indian origins hailing from Haryana. The two-day event consisted of sectoral sessions, technical presentations, cultural evening and business meetings in partnership with the Confederation of Indian Industry with the delegates and invitees from all over the world.
Headquartered in Gurugram, VLCC was founded in 1989 and is the leading slimming, beauty and wellness brand to have emerged out of the Indian subcontinent.
