New Delhi:- The Electronics Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI), formed under the Union Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), organized a webinar to enable the youth to learn new technology and skills while following the rules of lockdown. Candidates were also informed about the IndiaSkills Competition in this webinar on Robotics and India. The IndiaSkills Competition is the country’s largest skills competition organized by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC).
Mr. Karan Patil, Chief Expert of Mobile Robotics Skills, spoke about the scope of robotics technology in India while addressing the participants in the webinar. Along with this, he gave detailed information about emerging career options, opportunities for industry, research and job options in this field. Around 530 people from different parts of the country participated in this two-hour webinar. The participants appreciated this initiative of Electronics Sector Skills Council of India as they got to learn about new skills and emerging robotics technology through the webinar.
On this occasion, Mr. Narendra Kumar Mohapatra, CEO, ESSCI, said that the increase in mobile phone manufacturing in the country and expected increase in manufacturing units are expected to give rise to a demand for technicians skilled in Robotics, and Electronics SSC is committed to ensure supply of skilled technicians to meet the industry demand.
