Gandhinagar: The launch of the “AmNeev – Empowering Women” initiative marks a significant step forward in implementing the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, particularly in the realm of Skill Development within the Life Sciences Sector. This program initiated by LSSSDC & Amneal Pharmaceuticals which is being implemented at the Institute of Advance Research (IAR) in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
Amneal Pharmaceuticals is taking meaningful actions to foster a more diverse workforce with impactful and sustainable initiatives. The company is committed to increasing the employment of women within its workforce, based on a three-pronged approach of hiring, career development and culture.
AmNeev initiative aims to equip women with essential employment skills, aligning with NEP 2020’s objectives of bridging skill gaps and fostering inclusive workforce opportunities. By focusing on the pharmaceutical sector, this initiative not only addresses current industry demands but also creates a sustainable pipeline of skilled female professionals for the future.
The program is industry specific designed along with Amneal QA and QC subject experts, LSSSDC expert and IAR professors, which includes a three-month training period with weekly industry visits, is designed to provide participants with practical, hands-on experience, ensuring they are well-prepared to meet industry standards.
