Uttar Pradesh focusing on Media & Entertainment Sector with MESC for the growth of State

New Delhi: Media and Entertainment Skills Council (MESC) has organized a Training Partner Meet on 31st January,2023 with support from Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission. The Training Partner Meet was organized at the campus of Asian Academy of Films and Television in Film city Noida to showcase the collaborative model of association with MESC. The event witnessed participation from over 100 Training Providers from the state of Uttar Pradesh in the august presence of Shri Andra Vamsi, Mission director, UPSDM and Director (Training & Employment UP), Mr. Vikas Kumar, Founder & CEO, Digitoonz, Mr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Asian Academy of Films and Television, and Mr. Mohit Soni, CEO, MESC.

Shri Andra Vamsi, (MD, UPSDM) emphasized on the need for Skilling in the Media and Entertainment sector saying “all the job-roles in the M&E are high in demand that nowadays it is very difficult to get hold of any artist including photographers, set designers, graphic designers etc.” He expressed keen interest towards Training Partners willing to provide training in the M&E sector.

Mr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Asian Academy of Films and Television educated the audience saying how skilling in the M&E sector can benefit the Training Partners and generate profits for them by saying that “India is the largest contributor to the M&E sector across global M&E Industry as over 2000 films are made in India, in our Television Industry there are more than 950 channels out of which only news channels are 250, and we sell 500 crores of movie tickets which is highest in the world. Thus, it’s a great profit venture to start training candidates for M&E Sector”

Mr. Vikas Kumar, CEO, Digitoonz- expressed that India currently has lack of animators and skilled resources in the AVGC sector. He further mentioned that animators are so much in demand, that by only providing skillful animators India can become an Entrepreneurship Capital.

Mohit Soni, CEO, Media and Entertainment Skills Council- said that there is a lot of potential in Indian and Global M&E sector. As per him, Uttar Pradesh is a film friendly state and welcome industry to work in the state. Therefore, huge demand for the media Jobs in the state and also lot of candidates are aspiring to seek career in this sector. He added that Industry is also demanding skilled and certified candidates in the M&E sector.

The event was a success having training providers planning to train candidates in M&E sector for the development of state and offering skilled resources to the industry.
