Hyderabad : On March 18, Hon’ble Vice President of India, Sri Venkaiah Naidu, inaugurated Life Sciences Sector Skill Development Council (LSSSDC) ‘s VR Simulation Lab at Swarna Bharat Trust in Hyderabad, aimed at skilling candidates for key manufacturing job roles like Machine Operator and Manufacturing / Production Chemist.
This is the very first of its kind in the skill development ecosystem with respect to any sector in India and is duly appreciated by the pharma industry. Granules India, a well- known Pharma major, is our Industry Partner involved in this in Hyderabad, said Shri Ranjit Madan, CEO, Life Sciences Sector Skill Development Council.
This technology will overcome the constraints posed by high capex required to make available expensive equipment required for skilling by our Training Partners. It should bring scale and speed to skilling in manufacturing job roles in Life Sciences sector. This will be followed up with triggering similar labs modules in Uttarakhand, Sikkim etc within the next few weeks, and our aim is to make available such skilling modules leveraging this technology in each major cluster of Life Sciences activity in India, he added.
