In view of the recent lockdown due to the COVID-19 crisis, PMKVY Division – SD Wing which is the Competent Authority at Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship – MSDE, Government of India, after examining the whole scenario has decided and issued an Office Memorandum F. No. B-12011/01/2016-SDE (Part II) stating:
i. Last date of enrollment of candidates under Centrally Sponsored Centrally Managed (CSCM) and Centrally Sponsored State Managed (CSSM) component of Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) 2016-20 has been further extended till 30th September, 2020 for only North-Eastern Region (NER) (8 NE States) provided the new / fresh enrollments will be done only for reverse migrant workers. Under CSSM-PMKVY 2016-20, 8 NER States shall strictly adhere to the financial target allocated as per MSDE’s Circular of even number dated 27.05.2019.
ii. All the trainings / orientations should start/ resume within 30 days from the opening of training centres (TCs) and be completed before 31st December, 2020.
iii. All the assessments and certifications should be completed by 15th January, 2021
National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and State Skill Development Missions (SSDMs) of the 8 NE States, the implementing agencies of PMKVY 2016-20 should strictly adhere to the above mentioned provisions, with no further extension.
